Water leaking from ceiling behind light bulb near water filter in Frigidaire side by side FRS26LF8CS1

On your model the freezer is over the fresh food section and defrost coms about every eight hours. If by chance your condensate drain from freezer above becomes blocked behind that light shield the water from defrost will collect in a cup behind that shield and flow down into the fresh food section. Water dripping from Funny looking . unit in ceiling of refer

Hello,

That water is from the melting frost of the automatic defrost cycle. Their is drain in the freezer behind the back wall under the evaperator coil that is blocked, so instead of defrost water draining it's pooling in the freezer or in some case espically on models with the freezer on the top,the water is leaking from the freezer vents into the fresh food compartment.
The way to clear the drain is remove back plate and remove all ice build up and GENTLY make a small hole in drain, then totally flush w/warm water.
The exact location of drain is under the coil behind back freezer plate in the center

Good luck

I hope this helps you to stop that leak,

Gene

Water drain tube is plugged, leaks inside the frig

Water accumulating on the ceiling of the refrigerator is usually caused by a clogged drain in the freezer section beneath the evaporator. The clogged drain will cause water from the self defrost cycle to leak into the divider between the freezer and refrigerator. This water may then freeze and cause condensation build-up on the refrigerator ceiling. The solution to this problem begins with unclogging the drain. It may also be necessary to remove the entire freezer/refrigerator divider to thoroughly dry the insulation in the divider. Occasionally the insulation needs to be replaced to prevent a recurrence of the problem.

There is water in the refridgerator

You have a disconnected defrost drain pan. You will need inspect the ceiling of your refrigerator compartment and find the drain hose going from your freezer to your fridge then the drain pan. Sometimes this is molded into the plastic at the back of your fridge and it simply leaking out the joint. Start by defrosting your freezer, then pour water in the freezer itself while checking the ceiling of the fridge for water traces. Keep a wet/dry shop vac handy or a mop to keep up with the excess drainage. Then reattach the hose to the little drain nozzle when you find it.

Water leaking from freezer

Check for a blocked defrost drain. Take the panel off at the back of the freezer section and find the small hole at the very bottom center below the cooling coils. Use hot (but not boiling) water and a turkey baster to flush it out until water runs through it. (it will go into the defrost drain pan, where it will evaporate)
This will prevent water from comming out the freezer door and leaking onto your floor and running down your copper pipe to the basement.
