All electrical sources removed from the laptop, (i.e, the AC adapter, and Battery), there are two different modes of access depending upon the laptop.
1) The Keyboard Cover is removed, the Keyboard is removed, but set aside with the Keyboard cable still attached.
Laptop facing you the CMOS Battery is located near the Front, and slightly away from the Right corner.
2) The LCD Assembly has to be removed, then the Palm Rest, (Cover)

Where it starts with Gateway 400, 450RGH, 450ROC, etc, go down to the second line.
Left-click on - MX6200
The Gateway MX6214 is part of the MX6200 series of Notebook PC's.
After you click on MX6200 it may take a few seconds for the first page to come up. It may also take additional time for the file to fully download.

Scroll down, and click on - Replacing the CMOS Battery.

Its a pretty simple procedure. open your computer up and locate the battery use a non-magnetic flat-head screwdriver to pop it out and put the new battery in (sidenote:always unplug everything connected to the computer and press the power button so no electricity is flowing.)
