Im not sure what happened all I get is a white screen. The camera still turns on and when you hit the buttin to take oictures it still flashes but nothing shows up. I can take the card out and download them though. Im just not able to see what Im taking or change the settings. How do I fix the problem?

That is actually the exact same thing I am experiencing but mine has grey lines on the display window. I was able to take photos to a grey screen connect it to my comp...low and behold my pics showed....I am furious....need some answers as I will never hear the end of it from my daughter.

dont worry i have the same problem with my S5000 i contacted fuji and they repaired it free of charge bcoz it is a known problem in thousands of cameras of different brands just call them in ur area and they will do it free of charge

Hi!
The lens shutter doesn't work. If the cameras is a HP, I believe it's 95% broken shutter cable. Contact your local HP service center.
