In our office we have a HP Laser Jet P4015X printer. When I go to the option of printing - properties and then click on paper source and then click on manual feed tray one - it automatically defaults to tray two and prints. BEFORE - the printer would be on "stand-by" wait till I opened tray one and manually feed the paper / label sheet/ envelope in. How can I have the "stand-by" option back?

I am not sure how to get the "Standby mode" back, but one thing you may want to investigate is "JOB STORAGE"

Job storage allows you to send your job to the printer....have the printer wait until you get to the printer and then retrieve your job when you are ready to...This is also great for printing confidential information when you don't want it to just spit out from the printer where there could be someone else around.

See page 162 of the user guide here: http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01436366/c01436366.pdf

for some more details on job storage.

Good Luck

How do you make the HP Laser Jet 1320 printer print darker?

Insert tray 1

You can set the default paper source for all print jobs. Tray 1 is the default factory settings, only an installed paper source will appear as a menu setting. A paper source selected by a print job will override the Default Source setting for the duration of the print job. Check the word processor print settings, make sure that it matches with the printer paper menu settings. To do this you may click print and click on properties button. Click on the paper tab and you can set the input options like paper size, paper tray (source) and paper type.

Error 51.10 it appears when a send the order. hp laserjet p4515x

According to HP service literature, this is a temporary print error that requires you to turn off the printer and restart. Are you able to print a Configuration page from the control panel? If yes, then it is possible that your error is being caused by bad cabling or an incorrect print driver. If you can get the printer to come to ready, I would try upgrading the firmware by downloading from here. Easiest option if you are using windows is the Easy firmware update, which is the second option on this page. Download and follow the instructions.

Everytime I try to print on my HP 6500 office jet 709n it tells me there is a papersize mismatch - I am printing on 81/2 x 11 paper and that is what the settings read.

Reset the printer.
1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. 2. Press and hold the # key and the number 6 and plug the printer back in all at the same time. 3. Release the keys once the printer is already turned on.
If the printer takes the paper but only crumples it. Do the Reset for the 2nd time.

Duplex printing not happening

Hi,

In your printer model duplex printing is not supported. But it can be achieved using the manual duplex printing option. In the printer properties select the type of duplex printing you want to take and click on print. Once the printing got over on one side of the papers, then you will be prompted to turn the whole printed paper bundle and keep in the tray again and continue the printing. Now by this way duplex printing is done in your printer model.

I hope this is useful to you.
