It would be very helpful if you provide the make and model number of the refrigerator that you are having problem with.

Need this to find out what parts are involved.

I am assuming this is a Maytag /International refrigerator.

Refer this site and check the parts you need for the ice dispenser.

Otherwise please explain the problem a bit more in detail and I can try to help you find a solution.

My refridgerator stopped producing ice and water. I replaced the ice maker, the water pump, and the circuit board behind he water and ice dispenser. It now dispenses water with no one around. Help?

What do you mean "with no one around"? It turns water on spontaneously? does it turn off again? Is it making ice and dispensing it correctly? Don't you love figuring this stuff out? :)

Why is the water running directly into the ice dispenser and running out of the door when we are not pushing the lever to get water?

Sounds like the water valve is stuck or the wiring or switch is defective. As both ice and water are a problem it sounds more like a defective water valve.

Ice dispenser solenoid clicks without touching

I've found similar problems and the cause was from where the wiring comes through the door hinge block - the insulAtion rubs through and you'll have a short - start there

Water just started running without anything being touched.

There is a button that gets pushed when you push in the water lever on the door. That button is probably stuck, or it could be broken and sending constant voltage to the water valve. You will have to remove the dispenser cover to see the switch.

Water comes out of dispenser without touching the lever

Your inlet valve must be getting weak and not sealing correctly. the inlet valve is where the water line ties in rear. replace it for the fix.

WATER QUIT RUNNING IN DOOR

Okay. My appliance is around four years old. The first time the water quit working was about a year ago (ice cubes / dispenser was fine). I just let it go and didn't worry about it. One day months later, I found it functional again. That lasted about a month or two, then it recently quit again. Tonight, I located the water supply line coupling under the unit on the left side under the freezer door, about five inches from the hinge. I separated the coupling (push lock type) and pressed the water dispenser lever. After a few seconds, the water flowed out just fine. I re-attached the coupling, turned the freezer coldness selector to 0 (off) opened the freezer door and fetched my wife's blow dryer. I ran the dryer along the inside of the freezer door near the black door seal frrom the hinge up to the water/ice dispencer compartment. I also ran it all along the back of the dispenseer compartment to the handle side of the door as I am unsure of where the water line runs. After about ten minutes of this, I attempted to dispense water with no luck. I continued with the blow dryer until the plastic and even the door seal were very warm to the touch. I closed the door and attempted to dispense water once again, and this time it worked. I turned the coldness selector back on. This time I set the freezer to 3 and the fridge to 7. I ran several cups of water through the dispenser since it's been sitting in the line for a while before drinking any. As for the "reservoir," I don't where or if one exists, but heating up the inside of the door from hinge to dispenser worked perfectly. Hope this helps someone!

Cheers!
