if yes, do the same.
for the fully automatic washing machine mostly have drain pump, please check the filter of your drain pump, if clog your drain pump of some hair pins,cotton buds or coins or any small item,that the cause of water stuck,and it will long time draining or totally not running the drain pump.and its cause of stop of cycle of washing machine in rinse time or spin time,because after washing the pump must be on to remove water before start the next cycle.

the washing cycle is normal?
if yes do the same maybe it will help you.
for the fully automatic washing machine mostly have drain pump, please check the filter of your drain pump, how? remove the cup of your drain pump like a ordinary cup, screw it clock wise or counter clock wise.
Remove drain pump filter and clean it, some hair pins, cotton buds or coins or any small item that coz of clog up.
if your washing machine dont have drain pump ,but fully automatic check the drain motor if running or not? how? open the back cover for top loader washing machine only, select spin cycle and press start to see the drain motor running? the drain motor is like a small box with small wire to pull the lever of the drain to remove water inside, if the motor running or pull the lever of the water pipe but water still inside the washing machine, remove the drain cup or cover and clean it or check if have coin or cloth inside that coz of clog or water stuck,
if the drain pump or drain motor is weak this is will cause and long time draining or totally not running the drain pump or drain motor and its cause of totally stop the cycle of washing machine in rinse time or spin time, because all fully automatic washing machine, after washing cycle the drain pump or drain motor must be on, to remove water before start the next cycle. rinse or spin cycle.

This issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Press the pause cancel button 2 times this should clear it. If it does not and the filter and drain hose are clear you will need to replace the pump.

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes the water valves turn off.
NOTES:
After 4 minutes the "Sd" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the "F/21" error code will be displayed.
Press PAUSE/CANCEL two times to clear the display.

8. Replace the pump.

Most of these will either be draining all the time or not draining because of the open or close position of the plunger that controls the draining,When timer go,s bad it still times and turns but not on time,when it stays draining for 90 seconds and and stays draining after it should have shut off ,,well it burns out and freezes that plunger that operates the draining of the dishwasher.Thus both timer and control plunger need replaced,,over a 100 dollars in parts,GET A NEW DISHWASHER

Some GE dishwashers have rubber check valves that expand and block drain hose.

pull the drain hose up out off the stand pipe until only a few inches of hose are into the drain. you are siphoning. happens all the time

No, but you can try snaking the drain or use something stonger like muratic or sulfuric acid. You may also want to check the venting on this drain.
