When plugging the MCK extender into my router, I cannot get a VoIP connection on the phone. I can connect, however, if I bypass the router and come straight off the modem. Using the router, I have no trouble getting a LAN connection on my computer but the phone just cycles through 65 seconds of retrying to connect and connect rejected. Are there any settings I can configurer to accommodate the phone. Without being able to use it through the router, I cannot function, as it shuts down my entire home network if I would be forced to use it without the router.

SOURCE: I have a slightly used

Yes, all the purchaser needs to do(or you can do this beforehand) is reset all configurations to factory settings. Usually there is a hole where you need a pin to punch through and keep it there for about 10 seconds. Or there is an option on the screen.

Have fun :)

First unplug your router, then unplug your modem and for 10 seconds. Next plug the modem back in and wait it to reboot(on mine this a series of 4 lights that light up in sequence, when the 4th light stops flashing, reboot is complete). Finally plug your router back in.

In Order to use a Fax functionality of the router you need to connect the small RJ11 cable for telephones on the printer port. These printers do not suppoer VOIP Fax. To use VOIP as fax you can purchase a online VOIP subscription where you can scan and fax the documents.
