I purchased a new EL 1850G EMachine. I have installed the software for a Belkin USB to connect to a Verizon wireless 5 Spot device. The software installs correctly, the device indicates the computer connects to Verizon and is working correctly. However, I cannot open a web page, nor perform any updates to Norton, etc., as it indicates I have no internet access? I have used this exact same set-up on my previous HP desktop computer with no problems. Suggestions?? Thanks, Linda

Hello Linda!
It sounds like a firewall is blocking the connection. I assume you`re using Windows, so go to Control Panel > Windows Firewall and disable it.The next step is, if your not using a proxy. Open up your browser, if you`re using Firefox go Tools>Options > Advanced> Settings... (Connection) and make sure the 'No proxy' option is checked, restart your browser. For Chrome go to Options>Under the Hood>Change proxy settings (Network) a new window will come up from here you select LAN settings(Note: This will change the proxy settings for your whole system) and select automatic if it`s on manual. Finally disable your antivirus software just for a short amount of time, and try to browse the web, just to make sure that it`s not interfering with the connection.

My belkin n USB adapter (f5d8053) has been unable to access the wireless internet at my new place, through the mwn-apr150n medialink wireless n broadband router. My other devices connect fine, it's...

Please check the Network Range B/G/N Signal.
This could be the issue if other aplications are able to connect.
Also try to delete Wifi Profiles using the USB and add fresh wifi networks
If not in install & reinstall the the USB Software on ur pc / laptop
Lastly if this doesnt work try to use the USB Adapter on another network / other device and try to connect
If it doesnt then u have a USB Issue

I am trying to set up belkin n600 but my internet connection is a usb from verizon how to do i connect?

Hi

Though Belkin play router has a USB port on it, it would not accept the input via that port there by you can not connected the USB connection from Verizon to the router. You need to switch from USB connection to Ethernet connection on the Verizon modem contacting verizon.

How do i connect my verizon dsl westell 6100 to my belkin g rtr?

Wellll....since it seemed an impossible task, I tried the next best thing.
I bought a wireless adapter for the other pc and voila! they are on the internet, and I am returning the router.

Westell modem + Verizon DSL w/usb = No connection to router.

Belkin Wireless USB Adapter not detected!

This device is well known for the high level of current draw that it requires in order to work. I would suggest that you remove all other unnecessary USB devices and try the device again. It is more than likely that your system will find the device.

The quickest way of ensuring continued usage, when you have numerous USB devices, is to purchased a powered USB hub and ensure that the Wireless adapter is connected to one of the powered USB ports on the hub.

Hope that helps.

Windows xp sp2 doesn't recognize and software will not let me connect to router

First of all you have a wireless "N" adaptor running on a router set for 802.11g. You need to have the same router as the adaptor, "N".

Frozen cursor on new emachine laptop

Before you plan to return make sure you have done some or all of this things first:

1. Did you reboot after you installed the Enterprise 2007 ?
2. Did you make sure that if its a USB mouse that it is securely connected to the USB port ?
3. Were you able to move your mouse without any problem at all before the software installation ?
4. Have you had this problem before the installation of Enterprise 2007 ?
5. Have you done all your software and windows updates ?
6. Will the mouse work when booting into Safe Mode ( pressing F8 during re-boot before Windows Vista loads) If it does then your softwares need to be updated.
7. Did you check you device manager to see that theres no yellow exclamation anywhere in the Mice and othert pointing devices or under the USB controller section?
8. Is there a legacy USB port to be activated on your computer BIOS ?

If the installation caused your mouse to be frozen then try and uninstall the Enterprise 2007 by using your keyboard and tab to the programs uninstall.

If your mouse still doesn't move after doing all of the above things
then try another new USB mouse. Sometimes you may have to wait for several seconds (even up to a minute for new usb mouse detection) before the USB mouse cursor will move. If the second new USB mouse still wont work then return it to where you bought it as it could be faulty usb connector

Wont work my belkin usb

All wireless adapters use the same radio channels so your adapter will work with your router. (If that wasn't the case, it wouldn't be so easy to connect to networks with a laptop with built-in wireless.)
