When i try to play a game and the disc is fine. It loads and then it says unrecognized disc or unreadable disc. How do i fix it to where it will read game discs.

find out which dvd drive you have, hitachi, samsung, phillips, etc...then buy a 20 dollar replacement same brand, switch the little green board from yours to the new one, new drive no errors...hope it helps...
it means the one that wont read is scratched, dirty or defective, my advice is to clean it if its dirty, get a cd repair kit if its scratched or take it back if its defective.
The disc is probably Damaged, With the new North american dashboard alot of the times you can install the game to reduce loading, try this, it might just save you alot of trouble,
I had the same problem but i sent it in. They said it was the eye reader error. Or the thing that reads the disc. Try buying a brand new game and try playing it. Alot of times when i have disc read errors i put the disc in where the xbox 360 part at the top goes in facing the xbox. Try that to see if it helps.
