Look for a cd on ebay like windows utilities and order it especially if it says cracks passwords. Put it into your computer and reboot choosing to boot from that cd. Find in the menu password cracker and run it. Delete the password. now reboot your computer remove the cd and start to work on the operating system bringing it up to par.

If you have win xp then try to hit ctrl+alt+del and then when the dialog box appears type :

username : administrator
password : administrator

if this doesnt work then try to contact the Dealer for the password..

and to last resort reinstall the OS.

I bought a mac book from a co worker and it did not ever ask me for an admin password, and i did not create one. Then something happened to my battery and i had to replace it, now when i start it it askes...
The only thing you can do is to reinstall the operating system from disk.

There are some things you can do. If you didn't get restore cd's with unit, you can order them from Asus. If you got cd's then boot to it and restore the system to factory. If you don't want to order cd's then go to computer store and buy an xp cd and boot to it and wipe hard drive and install xp. If the system has lots of ram then just upgrade to windows 7. you can look online for password recovery but it will cost you money and sending them the info from your system.

I had a Thinkpad do that. It was a hardware password on the motherboard so they suggested replaceing the whole motherboard. There was one guy, I think he was in Australia, would hack the security chip if you mailed him the laptop. They are designed to be next to impossible incase your laptop gets stolen and you have sensitive data on it. My advice is DONT use the password on a laptop unless it is really sensitive valuable data, or if you never forget your passwords.

Cant reset the lock password
Press MENU when the password is asked and input 000000. If the security code is changed, the only way to reset the password is using the P2KAE application.
