One of your ignition switches has slipped out of place or is stuck in the ON position.
There is one switch behind each knob.

I have just moved into a 10 year old house. It has Blanco gas cook top and a Blanco wall oven. My problem is the electric starter for the gas top does not work. and the Oven indicators eg. top element,...

#1 You may have a blown fuse which sets all these issues together

#2 Your sparker may need to be tested, try a voltmeter to it and see what it reads. If voltmeter reads voltage, then it's a simple adjustment of distance to contact. If no voltage, then you'll need to replace sparker.

#3 as far as your indicators, that has to be an internal fuse.

I agree with you for not replacing these appliances, I love to cook with gas

Ge jvm1540dm2ww over the range unit: have a gas range and the fan on the above mounted microwave once in awhile turns on automatically while something is cooking on the range below it....

The heat sensor in the electronics panel senses the rise in heat from the stove below. Once the amount of heat reaches a certain level, the cooling fan turns on to keep the electronics inside the microwave cooled.

I wouldn't worry about it. mine does the same thing.

Vibrating noise when cooking

In order to try to set your mind at ease I will have to explain the Basics on how a Microwave Oven Functions.
When a Microwave Oven is set to COOK ...START. It cooks at 100%. There is no lowering of the heat as with a Range ( Cook Top) Control. So in order to do the other things such as DEFROST, WARM, or anything other than 100% COOK. A COOK ON- COOK OFF system was utilized. To DEFROST, the Microve COOKS at 100% for 30% of the TIME, then IDLES for 70% of the TIME. COOK ON 30% of the TIME, COOK OFF 70% of the TIME = DEFROST This is why you can hear the CYCLE. More power is required during the ON CYCLE, thus the lower vibration. The Vibration occurs when the High Voltage Transformer is turned ON ( COOK ON).
The VIBRATION seems to have got louder with age. This is somewhat normal as there is a vibration from the High Voltage Transformer present every time the Microwave is used. screws and other metal parts seem to get loose with this vibration. There is no solution, unless you can tighten EVERY screw, nut, and bolt in the unit.
Sorry!
