It really depends on the connections you have on you pc and on your tv some pcs have a s video hook up or usb port that can be hooked up to the tv but if the only hook up you have is the cord you use to hook your pc up to the computer monitor chances are you will have to have an adaptor. We run ours thru our playstation 3 because there are more ways to hook things up. You could hook it up to a playstaion with just the cord you already have and run it to the tv I believe that xboxs also have the same attachment. Hopefully this helped somewhat. Its hard to answer because there are several different combinations of attachments and hookups depending on name brands ETC.

When I turn on my Gundig TV the sound is there, but the picture does not come for about 15 minutes. It starts off blue then slowly changes colour and eventually comes on. The TV is only 16 months old....

Hello
It may be due to the fault of its picutre tube base socket. Some of them may show this type of fault eventhough it is a new one. Picture tube base socket is located at the picture tube bas card itself. It is directly soldered to the base card, throu which the connections are going into the picture tube via its pins. You just open the tv, and pull it out [not make any shakes while pulling it, as that may bed the picture tube pins, or iven break the picture tube neck. Just pull it straight out, and refit it at the same way as you pulled it out, for two or three times. Sometimes this will retify the fault, as this process will remove any loose contact between bascard socket and picture tube pins.
If this doesn't hlep, desolder it out from the picture tube base card, go for a similar type and pin confuguation. Replacing it will solve the problem. As you replacing the base socket, look into the base card for any loose soderings are there too. OK.

Manual for samsung es65 camera I would like to view my pictures on my samsung TV I was told I could do this direct from the camera to the TV just by using the a/v cable Is this correct and if so what ports...

You can download a user manual from here:-

http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201002/20100202195655453/ES65_ES67_English.pdf

You should have a AV cable with the camera, that has 1 round plug at one end and 3 round plugs at the other.

The single end plugs into your camera, there is a socket on the side marked AV. The three plugs at the other end go intot the TV.

They are colour coded (White - audio left, Yellow - Video and Red - Audio right) you need to find three sockets on your TV which match. Once connected and a slide show running on your camera, select one of the AV tv channels on your tv remote control.

If there isn't the 3 colour coded sockets on your TV, there probably is a couple of SCART connectors on the back (Big black socket with about 20 holes) You can buy adaptors, from electrical stores, which convert your AV cable out to a scart. Its just a box with the 3 coloured inputs and a scart output.

Computer TV output (RCA) - no colour

I had the same problem and nothing worked for me until I changed laptop settings to NTSC_M
So, briefly what I have: S-Video to S-Video cable, laptop (Thinkpad R51, Windows XP, with Intel(R) extreme graphics controler ) and TV set (Samsung, quite old one). The problem was that after connecting my laptop S-Video (4 pin) with S-Video (4 pin) of my TV, I had black and white (no colour) picture.
Solution is the folowing:
- connect your laptop and TV (both S-video 4 pins)
- mouse right click on your laptop desktop screen
- in the popup menu select: 'Graphics Properties'
- "Output to"
- select "TV"
- properties "NTSC_M"

keep in mind that if your are not connected to TV, Graphics Properties don't show TV as an option. So, that was very confusing for me, as I saw similar solution somewhere but was not able to find NTSC_M settings on my laptop
Good luck

Samsung sgh p310 wont charge

check to make sure it is connected properly and whether the pins in the phone's charging slot are not broken, because I have a samsung SGH-D807 and I forced the charger in the slot and the pins got broken, it won't charge. I have to repair it.
so connect it properly and check to see if the pins are broken, if not, try another power socket to plug the charger in, not all sockets are compatible with a charger.

HOW TO CONNECT SAMSUNG LCD TV TO ACER ASPIRE

Atlast I got some help from the right people (Samsung)! I would like to share it with others facing the same problem:

If you are using the D-sub 15 pin jack (VGA Monitor Cable: make sure its 15 pin and NOT 14 pins), follow these steps:
  1. Make sure your TV and computer are off.
  2. Using a 15 pin D-sub (standard) video cable, connect the Video Out jack on your computer's video card to the PC In jack on the back of your TV.
  3. Using an audio cable with a min-stereo plug on one end and two RCA jacks on the other, connect the Audio Out jack on your computer to the left and right PC Audio In jacks on your TV. (Note: If you have your computer connected to separate speakers, you can skip this step)
  4. Switch on the Notebook and Adjust the Resolution (800 x 600 pixels would do). You can go to Control Panel and Adjust the screen resolution. (Keep ‘Screen Refresh rate’ at 60hz in the Monitor Settings)
  5. Switch on the TV and try to Select the Source as 'PC' (you can do this by either pressing the 'Source' button several times on your TV remote or go to the Menu - Setup and Select the 'PC' as source there).
  6. In most cases, after following the above steps, the TV would start to show 'Auto Adjusting' message and it will start showing your Desk top on the TV. But incase it doesn't work, you can do the following:
a. Mostly the problem lies with the VGA cable. Make sure you have the right one (15 pin) and its securely attached at both ends. If you are not using the right VGA Cable, it means that there is no connection between your TV and Notebook. Your TV will show 'PC' in Grey in the Source Input list (Go to ‘Menu’ from the TV remote).
b. Both your Notebook and TV should be switched off when you are connecting the cable otherwise one of them might have a problem detecting the other one.
c. Try Pressing Fn + F5, F6, F7 (depends on which Notebook brand you are using) on your Notebook several times. At times, you will see some signs that the Notebook and TV are trying to connect. Select 'CRT' from list of displays available to you.
