Compaq nx6110 laptop hangs after 30 minutes, please help

The only way to cope up this problem is to replace south bridge chip of the laptop.

It seems that the hard drive or the memory module is not seated properly and hence after pressing on the area below keyboard it gets released.
You can try following things.
Remove and reseat the Hard drive.
And remove and reseat the Memory.
Try to power on the laptop again.
If is getting hang again then you may need to do the HDD self test and memory test built into BIOS.

Do you have any of the disks that came with your computer?

this problem is hardware related, this problem caused by the chipset "intel 82801 fbm" . if you have an electronics experience,
remove the mother board,
find the chipset intel 82801 fbm
reflow the chipsett by "bga rework station" or "hot air blower"
then refix and check the system
