Hello, I tried to update my new LG N2B1DD2 to last firmware version. Now it has on the screen "F/W Update.." and nothing happen. I read that usually neds 1-5 minutes for upgrade but passed over half an hour.

Upgrade to newest version firmware on you device, sanyo tv custom firmware update you current version firmware to latest version, download newest firmware.

Have you tried to update the firmware on your LG? I know there has been issues recently with LG brands not being updated and in turn, not recognizing it.

its a disc copying software but the reason i am saying to download it is that it will update your firmware for you

click write file to disc, then click on tools then move to drive then go to the last option on the new menu that says Check for Firmware Updates, click ok then click on the numbers listed below version( pick the one that is the latest) this will download the firmware file. extract the files from the downloaded zip and open the installer allow it to finish then click finish or exit. then restart your pc. Now try your dvd

Hi florent_elev, what i did was create a volume and then ran the firmware update. This worked for me and it took me to firmware version 1.0.0_2569. It was about 3 to 5 minutes to complete.

LG and HP in known for thier reading laser to become trashed or crash. Once this happens, you can only replace the drive.

Sorry for the bad new but I faught an HP drive for months before I just bought a new one.

What version firmware you have v2.0.7 ?
Try to update firmware again and read the instructions one more time. Try reboot holding stop button down
