Can not copy mp3 songs in transcend

i hav transcend 1G 610 mp3 player.
whenever i connect it to computer it shows only 475MB free momory though it is of 1Gb. & if i try to copy a song beyond this 475Mb size then it says "boot sector can not found,song cant be copied"
i cant use full memory of 1gb.
wat to do?????????
