Downloading images Hi How can I download movee (video ) from Sony handycam DCR-PC9 Mini DV to a normal computer to save it into DVD format.

  • pgarling Jul 20, 2008

I have the same problem with Sony handycam DCR-PC9 Mini DV, I'm using a USB connector going to my iMac, the iMovie software doesn't recognise that it is connected like a harddrive. Do I need other special software or a camera software update?
My Nikon digital camera shows up on my desktop just fine.
    Thanks, Pat [email protected]

Make sure you have a DV cable also know as a firewire cable. You will need some software to capture the video from your camera to your hard drive. Pinnacle Studio is an inexpensive system for capturing, editing, and producting videos to DVD.

Make sure you have a firewire port in the back of your computer.

Download moving images to computer for duplication to dvd.

You will need to have a firewire cable at the very least. Then if you have a more Windows XP (or higher) PC equipped with an ieee1394 hardware or an apple computer ... you're all set to capture video from PC9 to other format like youtube or DVD.
