(kenmore heavy duty 90, stylemaster 902202) The female part of the washer where you connect the waterline is leaking. i switched the hoses and the same valve leaked so it's a part inside the washer that is broke. i'm not even exactly sure how to get to the part. if you could send me instructions that would be great.

I am not sure of this particular model-- I have not had experience with this exact one--
However-- Let's see if we can figure it out:

Is the back sealed pretty tight-- no obvious panels can be removed?

How about the FRONT of the machine?
Some have 2 screws down toward the floor-- hidden from view as you stand in front of the machine-- Can you see anything that lets you get the front panel loose?
That often allows you to slip a putty knife in between 2 retaining clips, that hold the front of the top, to the front.. When you push IN on these clips, the Top is freed, and you can flip the top, and get inside.

Let me know if you find any of those possible entrance methods--

If not-- we'll have to look closer to the sides and the back-- Or getting the top loose, so that it can flip back--
The mechanic has to be able to get inside one way or other!

Give me some clues, and maybe I can help more-

Kenmore stylemaster 902202 will not spin, agitate or drain tub spins freely

Check door switch: If the lid switch is bad it will not drain or spin. Try this test: With lid open let it finish wash cycle. Press lid switch down with screwdriver. Washer should begin draining. Release switch. Motor should stop. Press switch a second time. Washer should start spinning as it continues to drain. If motor doesn't come on while lid switch is pressed, replace the switch. Or

Water does not drain from washing ma

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.#######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Assuming that the washer will spin it sounds as if the pump / hoses are blocked or the pump is damaged.

See the section for the basket and tub assembly's

I'd pull the cabinet in order to get to the hoses going to and from the pump first.

See the following:

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=131

If the hoses are fine, check the shaft from the motor to the pump and check inside the pump to make sure the inlet and outlet aren't blocked.

Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series Leaking in the back

If you bought a new washer and you still have a leak, i guess it was not the washer but where it drains into. Sink or stand pipe has a leak. unless you are useing the old drain hose from your old washer. Dry up everything and look for the sorse of water with a bright light when the washer drains .

A humming sound in the cycle knob

Make sure that the room is quiet then check that there is a clicking noise from the lid when it is nearly closed

If not then the microswitch is out of whack and needs adjusting

When you slam the door down it is probably enough to make the switch but then the machines movement will undo that action

Kenmore 90 plus series: heavy duty super capacity won't agitate

this is the site to find out how to fix your washer.
you have a broken drive coupling.
it probably wont agitate or spin, but will fill and drain.
you need to remove 2 screws from the control panel, hinge it back and then remove the 2 brass colored clips that hold the cabinet to the base. once you do then pull the entire cabinet forwards to a 45 degree angle and pull it off the base.
then pull the 2 clips off pump and then 2 more on the motor. that will allow you to get to the drive coupling. you will find it to be broken.
replace it with part number 285753a for about 15-20 bucks.
