I have Philips DVDR7260H recorder where the guide plus system will not set up. I have done as insructed on automatic and with manual setting with host channel set to bid up tv channel 23with no lck . C...

Firstly, my DVDR7260 (so I guess yours too) can only use analogue channel updates so it should be set to ITV, that is channel 03 (if you have usual analogue channels tuned). BUT by now that suggestion is redundant as Guide Plus updates have been stopped since 1st Jan 2011 as part of the Digital switch-over. Nice one! If anyone knows how to invoke the Freeview EPG on the DVDR7260, that may be the one thing to keep it out of the bin.

Channel wont change. the numbers change but the picture remains the same. always on channel 3. help

Look to see if "GUIDE PLUS" logo is on front of set, if so it is your problem.

Go into customer menu and setup for Guide Plus and enter area code 99999 and when it asks if you have cable box or vcr answer/select NO, the guide plus is your problem.

Try and if this resolved your problem rate this solution as VERY HELPFUL as I do this here for free.

Using RCA P61939 without Guide Plus

Guide plus still works even if you don't have the wand hooked up. In the setup section of the guide plus there are several questions that must be answered properly or it won't function as you would like. It maybe labeled as options as well. Thanks

Have Warning message on DVD 'Your Guide Plus has not received TV Listings. Check your host channel.' What do I do?

Symptoms / Customer Description
TV Guide issues.
Example:
1. Not getting the correct info, or no information.
2. TV Guide giving double channels.
3. TV Guide grid comes up but no information.
[Primary Symptom Code: 118X ]

Solution

TV Guide information comes from the Host Station.

1. If no information on some channels or incorrect information not TV issue, but station not giving any information or incorrect information.

2. If grid comes up, but no TV Guide Info could be
siginal issue.

3. Double stations showing up. Unfortunately double listing is the way it's going to be. They have to send out all possible OTA listings for the area. You can hide the channels that you are not getting.

Antenna on RCA F27615

If this set has Guide Plus in the menus then set it up. Choose ant or cable, in menus, and No for cable box and no for DVD and no for vcr and finish. If you choose yes for a cable box then it locks the channel to 3 to match your cable box.

RCA TV won't change channels

Your set uses the 195 series chassis and you have something set wrong in your guide plus. Go into the TV's menu and do a complete set-up. Take the remote and press MENU, then "8" to enter setup, then press "1" for "begin setup now" and then press "1" for English, and so on. You must enter "set up guide plus+", then press OK on the remote to choose "setup", select "USA", enter your zip code, and then if you choose "yes" for "do you have cable?" you MUST then choose "no" for "do you have a cable box" If you choose "yes" for that choice, your tuner will lock on one channel no matter what channel you try entering. After choosing "no" for "do you have a cable box", choose "no" for "do you have a VCR?", exit the guide plus menu and then skip the rest of the steps by pressing "2", and then exit the main menu by pressing "0". Your channels will then work normally.
