Sony vaio won't boot when saitek controllers are connected to its USB ports

the x52 drivers are problematic to begin with...
...but sounds like your computer is trying to boot on that device (as a primary/usb/H.D.) you either need to edit your boot options or reset the devices accordingly in your bios...
if your not familiar. . .DONT EVEN BOTHT...cuz you could wind up doing more harm than good ...tampering with your bios is tricky business (that even some of 'US' big boys have fried some processors, boards and even drives...!!! lol) so my honest advice to you if you're uncomfortable and unfamiliar with editing your system files (regedit/sysedit) &/or bios...ask a friend?! best of luck...

Usb port on presario F500 quit working, they are seen by device manager but will not reconize a flashdrive when incerted, a mouse or any thing else. Using win 7,64 bit t3500 cpu.

Hello,

This should be pretty easy to fix. I have seen this many times before. Here's what to do:

Go into device manager and expand 'universal serial bus controllers'.

Start at the very bottom, and start deleting the usb root hubs one by one. You will lose your touchpad control at some point, as the touchpad is actually a usb device. One of thwo things will happen.

1. The usb hubs will automatically be re-detected and re-installed.
2. You will just lose touchpad control after deleting one of the root hubs. If this happens, then shut down using the power button, and restart. Th usb hubs will be reinstalled once you log back into windows. Please let me know if this doesn't fix it.

Not working with windows 7

You can download the driver software from the Saitek website, here's the link http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php
Just select Joystick in the first drop down box, then your version of windows 7 (32 or 64 bit) then just follow the instructions to download your drive.
Install the driver before you plug in yours joystick (the driver will more than likely ask you to plug it in at some point in the install process).
I hope this help you out.
