Thermostat broken

Good Morning a_t_pearson, this is Z. Thank you for your post! I understand that the thermostat is broken on your top Frigidaire oven; therefore I'm assuming that you have a double-wall oven. If so, please help me understand what you are referring to by thermostat? Is your oven not preheating or reaching desire temperature? Are you speaking about the bake and/or broil elements not heating? May I please have your model number? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located on the front of the oven, on the left side, as you open the door. With this information I can better address the issue at hand. Thank you!

Need to find the fuse

Hello - Generally speaking, Frigidaire wall oven do not have fuses. What issue is the unit experiencing exactly? Can you tell me if it is displaying any specific error codes or not heating? If I know more information on what the issue is, I can try to better assist you further.

My whirpool double oven suddenly quit working tonight. It was baking and when I pushed the light button everything shut off. The control panel remains black and the oven will not work. We have checked the...

Your kitchen outlet plugs have nothing to do with the oven. It gets power from it own dedicated circuit breakers. They are marked as either 30-40-or 50 amp and are a double breaker, two beakers connected by am arm or bar. It is possible for one of these two breakers to fail and cause your problem. If you have already tried to rest the breaker by turning it off and back on, with no results, then you will need a qualified electrician to check you the circuit. Your oven runs on high voltage, 220-240 and attempting to do any repairs can be hazardous.
It might also be that the problem is in the oven itself. A failure of the ovens internal control circuit would also cause your problem.

Any chance the oven is still under warranty? Even if not under manufacturer warranty, it still might have an extend warranty if purchased with certain credit cards,(MasterCard or American Express)
Good luck, J

Hi 'v_p_rao2000'. Even I am willing to extend my warranty but i don't know where to obtain the 'Extended Warranty Card No.' The only warranty card that came with my product was the warranty card at the back of the Owner's Manual and it doesn't have any no. on it. Though the registration can be done here:

After using self cleaning feature...oven door locks up...4th time this has happened...kitchenaid says "no known issues with your unit or the problem you reported...can you halp

Hello - we have had this same issue a number of times as well. Do you lose all power on the unit too? We do - have discovered that using the self-cleaning isn't really a good idea with these ovens. The ovens aren't really made to heat to such high heats that are used in the cleaning cycle and during that last hour of cleaning it hits it highest peak - and it blows it's fuses. We recently blew 2 fuses at the same time, locking both doors (Double oven) and knocking out the power for the entire unit. Our repair man said that the average on wall ovens is anywhere between 6 - 12 cleanings before you will blow the same fuses and the whole cycle starts all over again. Our expense was $350. So, self-cleaning now means elbow grease around this house. How this information was a bit helpful for you.

Wolf Double Oven

I had the same problem with a Wolf L-Series double wall oven (Model DO30) and called for service (under extended warranty contract). The tech told me that the F1 error is a latch problem (you know the one that grabs and locks the door during self-clean cycles). He cleared the error using a series of "secret" button presses on the control panel and the problem cleared. Now, when it happens (which isn't very frequently), I do the same thing he did ... press "0" and "Temperature" for the oven causing the problem and hold them for about 5 seconds. The oven will ding and the display will show some diagnostics, including the error event. Press "Cook Time" and "Stop Time" while in this diagnostic mode to clear the error register, then press "Off". I've also tried to keep the area across the top of the oven opening clean (with a little degreaser), especially around the latch, and I've sprayed a bit of WD-40 into the latch periodically for lubrication and cleaning.

Cant work oven!

I have the Stoves 720EF manual stored on the BT Digital Vault which might help. If you want a copy of it, supply an email address and I will give it access.
Also someone else has said that if you speak to Stoves nicely they may be able to send an electronic version of the manual instead of the paper copy.
