Pick via unknown @ intel 82801gb ich7 - high definition audio controller [a-1] pci to your hard drive how can i get a driver for this

Go to your Mainboard manufacturers' site, and download

1. The mainboard chipset, then install to your PC.
2. The audio/drivers drivers and Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio. Sometimes the (UAA) is incorporated with Sound drivers itself.

Installing high definition audio Drivers for windows.
**Take Note.
If the audio/sound drivers and Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) are separate files, you have to install the UAA files first before the installing audio/sound drivers files or your sound drivers will not be install properly.

You have not mention what OS or what type of mainboard, brand, name... you are using.

Hope it helps.

My intel motherboard audio driver installation failed.

You might have to install MicroSoft Universal Audio Architecture before installing Audio Driver, ensure you install the right audio driver version for your mobo series. On the BIOS setting make sure you have set onboard audio device to enable. Go to this link to get the right audio driver version download, specify your mobo series

Audio is not working for P5SD2-VM motherboard...

You probably need Microsoft UAA drivers first
1) Remove any installed audio drivers through device manager
2) Download Microsoft UAA drivers for your O/S
3) Install them and reboot
4) go to device manager right click sound and update driver
It will go on the net and in most cases find and install them

Audio device is not working

I have been working on this for months and finally got everything including front audio panel going. First Download the latest realtek audio drivers available  from intel's website or go here and download #3 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=2839&OSFullName=Windows%2A+XP+Home+Edition&lang=eng&strOSs=45&submit=Go%21. Next goto control panel and add/remove programs then look for realtek audio drivers that have been previously installed. Remove program if one is found. Then go to device manager (right click my computer, go to properties, Then hardware, then device manager. Click on the"+" in front of system devices. Find "microsoft uaa bus driver for high defintion audio". Right click that and select, "disable". Then right click it again and "unintstall" the device. This will allow you to install the audio drivers on your disc, or ones you have downloaded to install without an error message. Once done install your audio drivers and restart your PC and windows should start dectecting your new hardware. An installation wizzard pops up. Install the files needed yourself from a specific location, not a disk. It will ask for location of file name "hdaudbus.sys". That file is in C:/Windows/System32 folder. If it's not there, which it should be, just find and download that one file but it should already be there. I have done all this on xp home ed, sp3. I now have sound, and my front audio panel works. Please let me know if you have any problems by emailing me at [email protected]

Audio connexant driver installation

HA! Gateway is the WORST! They tell you to download the drivers for your notebook...they install and then code 10!!!!
I'll cut to the chase with the solution, but I could go on for HOURS about how bad they are! I wish we could all BILL them for our time and frustration! If this solution helps you, think about making a donation to our dog rescue (link below).

I took my n/b to the Geek Squad...after 3 hours they still did not have the sound fixed!!!

FOLLOW CLOSELY!
For people having the same audio problem (Conexant Ac-Link Audio Drivers, Realtek) here is the fix.
“1. Install Realtek Audio driver (WDM_A380 or WDM_A381, doesn’t matter).
2. Reboot
3. Download and try to install the Conexant AC 97 audio driver. You can get the one from Gateway (D00245-001-001 driver), or any other manufacturer that uses this chip in the notebook. Pay attention to where it stores the files. For instance the Gateway driver uncompresses to c:\cabs\directory name.
4. Go to device manager, find the Realtek AC 97 audio item under “Sound, video, and game controllers”. Right click on it and select UPDATE DRIVER
5. Select NO if it asks to connect to Windows Update, click NEXT
6. Select “Install from a list of specific location” and click NEXT
7. Select “Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install” and click NEXT
8. DE-select “Show compatible Hardware”. CONEXANT should show up under manufacturer since you tried to install the driver earlier.
9. Click on CONEXANT on the left, then select “Conexant AC-Link Audio” on the right and click NEXT
The driver will install. It may ask you for the location of some files, point it to the directory the Conexant driver uncompressed to in step 3.
Reboot, and you should have working audio!”
