You do need to install the Samsung USB drivers for your device. Visit the Samsung support site for your country or region and download them. I could not find your model on the Canada site. Error?

I think you have installed the nokia pc suit on the lap top,

you need to select the option 'add a device'

select bluetooth as the medium and it will as for a passcode, you just need to enter a 2 or more digit number and enter the same on the mobile....
its how pairing of your lap and mobile happens...
(its not some code you don't know its just used for authenticating the mobile or laptop using correctly entered passcode which you select)

its should solve your problem.

sounds like the hard drive or floppy is bad....... what kind of lap top is it ? can you get into the bio's?
has the laptop sat for a few years is it old?

Connect your mobile to laptop through data cable. Install a dialer software from mobile company on youe laptop. Put username and password and then connect the intenet.
