I have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee. After powering a small inverter from the cigarett lighter outlet to power a laptop I now have no power to the turn signal relays, wipers, radio, hot/cool blower motor, and cigarett lighter itself. This occured after shutting the jeep off and restarting while the inverter was still running. The headlights, brake lights and running lights still operate. There are no blown fuses. Is this a fusible link issue?

Sounds like you may have melted the ignition switch and it is just partly working. (i have done this myself before) it is located on the lower part of the steering column you maybe able to use a mirror and a flash light to see if it is melted. ( mine was, but the jeep still started) the switch will have a few wires running to it also a metal rod that comes down the column from the key switch. (please rate this if it help Thank you)

Where is the cigarette lighter fuse for a Chevrolet City Express LT?

The cigarette lighter fuse for a Chevrolet City Express LT is located in the Engine Compartment Fuse Box. The location of the fuse box varies depending on the year of the vehicle. For instance, in 2003-2007 models, the cigar lighter (power outlet) fuses are numbered 29 (Auxiliary Power Outlets) and 30 (Cigarette Lighter). In 2008-2009 models, they are numbered 33 (Auxiliary Power Outlet) and 38 (Cigarette Lighter). In 2010-2022 models, they are numbered 25 (Auxiliary Power Outlet) and 73 (Cigarette Lighter).

Power outlet

These power outlets have breakers, which can be found under the hood, in a plastic cover, which protects the relay & breaker center. The breakers will be labeled next to the breakers or on the underside of the cover. murf427

Which fuse is allocated to the cigarette lighter? I initially thought it was the PDC Coils fuse, number 11, but when I switched that with a definitely working fuse, there was no change. Currently, I...

cigarette lighter is fuse #5
however, if that is ok then check the lighter/accessory relay

as for your power outlet...
I've searched a few different models and
cannot find that information

the power outlet might be a dealer add-on or aftermarket at which point power supply could be coming from anywhere

Cigarette lighter / power outlet doesn't work

You can pry this out very easily. Do check that the wire has not came off the back which is common. If wire is securely in place, then check the fuse.

Fuse blown on cigarette lighter Saturn 2001

It sounds like you have a bad charging cable for the GPS or the cable is overloading the cigarette lighter.

The cigarette lighter is designed for less power then a 12v power outlet.

Therefore it is easy to blow the fuse for the cigarette light if you install something that draws too much power.

Replacing cigarette lighter in 1989 Jeep Wrangler

Usually you need to be able to reach the back side of the old cigarette lighter to unscrew it and unplug it from the dash... undo the wiring and slide the new one in... really simple.... good luck

Both of my front Power/cigarette lighter outlets give no power?

I do not have a diagram for this but : Lighter outlets are a "high draw" item which will be served by a circut breaker, not a regular fuse. Circut breakers are small silver plug in items found on your fuse panel. Both units may be on different lines also because of "HI draw". I'ts also not really difficult to make a new circut for this, to add outlets where you need them, or to replace missing ones.

Have you checked the fuse for them? The location should be in your owner's manual.

Power outlets wont work

when you look at the fuse box inside your car you will see a cigarette with smoke emitting from it for the cigarette lighter and the power outlet will have a button like picture on it.
