It may not be the power supply as people have indicated. I had the same problem - TV would not respond to the remote. TV was still under warranty so I got a new one from SONY. Same problem. Finally figured out is was an issue witht he surround sound system, Replaced this and its working fine. I think there is an incompatability problem with the SONY HBD-570. That is my theory because the surround sound works fine when connected to a different model SONY TV.

Blue light but tv won t turn on

Try these troubleshooting steps:
- Try to power on the TV using the button on the TV and not the remote
- Ensure that the power cover is securely connected
- If you are using a power strip connect the TV directly to the wall
- Try a different outlet
- Can the outlet power any other device?

Good luck

My sony trinitron xbr won't come on when the remote iis pressed it only clicks.. no picture or sound

Your problem could be any one of the boards in the set. When a flat screen attemps to turn on, but finds an internal problem, it defaults by clicking off to keep the remaining circuits and boards from buring up. You'le have to take the tv to a shop. Sorry that I can't be of more assistance.

** TV won't turn on.** No picture or sound. Please Help !

If the red light won't come on it is not getting power.First, try plugging it in to a different outlet,or unplug one of the gadgets you know is working and plug the tv in there. You are simply switching. If you know that there is power coming from the outlet and it still won't come on then you'll have to check the cord;don't go much farther than that without expert help.
