WITH REMOTE SET MAY TURN ON WITH PERFECT PICTURE AND SOUND AND WILL OPERATE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. THEN AFER TURNING OFF WITH REMOTE AND TURNING ON ONLY SOUND CAN BE OBTAINED.THIS CYCLE HAS REPEATED ITSELF SEVERAL TIMES. PRESENTLY ONLY SOUND BUT KEEP EXPECTING IT TO RECOVER PICTURE.
I HAVE A PROBLEM ON SHARP 21 INCHES THE PROBLEM IS NO VIDEO BUT THERE WAS A SOUND IF I PUSH THE CHANNEL UP AND DOWN WILL DISPLAY OR VOLUME OK BUT NO DISPLAY BLACK SREEN

Check and replace damaged component/s at it main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis.
If your Tv does that after certain period of time you need to replace the mainboard, the mainboard is the one where you plug everything, cable, antenna, video.
Probably a bad main board or T-CON board or both. If you're trying to fix yourself, try disconnecting the cable (LDVS) from the small board (T-CON) at top center of the LCD panel and see if it still cycles. Note, be very careful with that cable, it is very delicate. If it still is cycling off and on, then it is probably the main board. A slight chance it may be the power board also.
those are the screen adjustment controls, most likely they are turned down to low so the tubes wont power up. What happens is when you adjust them the set will continue to operate then when its turned off say overnight the tubes wont come on cause they are set to low, Try turning each of the 3 dials up just a little at a time equally untill the tubes turn on.
I have a Sanyo CLT1554 (2 1/2 years old). Has perfect sound but no picture. The picture will come after several times turning it off/on and pressing the Reset button. It is very anoing to do this evey time. PLEASE HELP
If the screen displays VIDEO 1 then the set is in video 1 mode, looking for a signal on the video 1 input jacks. Press the TV/VIDEO button on the remote (or the set itself if it has it) and cycle around to the input you are actually using.
The tv can be repaired by a qualified Technician,the replacement of the sensor ? should not be too expensive,the question is if the tv reacts to some remote commands or to none,if it does not reacts it could be the remote too.The sensors go bad but very rarely.Good luck.
