If you have the omnitech MP4-666BFM and it doesnt work , here is the infofor product support:

Mine was doing the same thing i left it on my dresser for about 3 weeks then i got a new one i was puting new music on my computer so i got mp4 and hooked it up it worked fine got looking it was the first one i got so now i have two come to find out it was the power cord it had a short or something!!!!!!!

I uploaded a bunch of songs onto my mp4 player, when i unplugged it from the computer and turned it on, the only screen that will show up is the omnitech screen. i have left the device alone to see if it will change to the music screen, i have turned it off and then back on and the same thing happened, just the omnitech screen. but now it won't turn on at all, and when i plug it into the computer, it does not even recognize that it is plugged in.
I can't take music of my mp4, and I can't put music on my mp4.
