Red Omnitech 2G long red model

I have a red Omnitech MP3 (long and skinny one). Today I plugged it into the USB port and everything was as usual. The computer recognized my player and I went to transfer 2 songs from my hard drive and as soon as I went to paste the file transfer bar didn't show up. Then the wizard popped up and said it didn't recognize the storage unit and did I want to format it? I didn't but now when I turn on the player I get ''File system error" What have I done and how do I correct this? I have pushed all the buttons on the player and nothing changes. The volume numbers are working but there is no sound. Thank you M Ruddell

That was great but... I can only get 116 songs (440MB) on it now. A stop sign pops up and tells me that the file cant be created no matter what song I try to send to it.

Yoou can only have so many files/folders in the root directory of the Omnitech MP3 player. Just create a folder and put all your songs in it and you will no longer have a limit (except the capacity of the drive)

Sounds like the screen needs to be repaired. If you take phone and push down volume and then plug into USB cable that is connected to computer. Do you see anything?

I have a Seagate Free Agent 500Gb drive running through a Windows XP computer. I had no problems until today when the computer does not list it as a drive. What can I do to get it back. I tried plugging it...

click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question mark?or exclamation mark ! or red x
right click to reinstall drivers or
if you can see your usb but its not working:"
ports(com&lpt)right click update driver
if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it:
sometimes the wires inside the cable will be damaged due to bending or stretching or placing heavy equipment upon the cable,
just replace the cable of the hard disk, when you plugged the external disk drive you got that windows could recognize the USB device change the cable everything should work fine again,
check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red-white-green-black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems also make sure the computers Ram and Cmos battery are securely seated
hope this helps

My coby mp610-2g wont charge i plug in my usb cable it wont do any thing please help me

Try to change the usb cable. If still can't, that means your mp3 player usb port is damaged. You will need to get it fix.

Have a digital camera/mp3 player 44090/44091/44092/44093 have installed software but when we plug it in to usb slot doesnt register on comp. cannot transfer music etc. running windows vista please help...

I have fixed our problem! Hope this helps you out. I downloaded a manual for the 44090 model.
Make sure that you don't have it plugged into the usb port and the player is switched to mp3 mode. Open the software and then when it says to plug it in now, you need to turn the player into music mode. Press and hold for 3 to 4 seconds the centre power/play/pause button. It will start the red light flashing. Once the light is flashing it is in music mode. Plug in to the usb port and the computer should recognise it bringing up the install now button for the software. Click 'install now' and it should work.
I don't use the software to load songs I just use windows media player and once I had passed this install now bit media player recognised it instantly.
Everytime you want to listen to music you need to put the player into music mode by holding down that button till the red light flashes. Once music is loaded on it starts playing as soon as that red light starts flashing!
Good luck and I really hope this works out for you too.
