Hi,

Please go through the below step, you can able to do it.

1) Shut down the Dell Latitude D620 if it's currently powered on. Click "Start" in the left-hand corner of the screen to access Windows' shut down options. Alternatively, press and hold the Latitude's power button, located on the top edge of the laptop's keyboard.

2) Turn on the computer by pressing the laptop's power button.

3) Press and hold "F8" on the top of the laptop's keyboard immediately after turning the computer on. If the Windows logo appears on the screen, you're too late and must repeat Steps 1 through 3 again. If you pressed it in time, a list of text options will appear on the screen.

4) Use your keyboard's arrow keys to scroll down to "Repair Your Computer." Push the "Enter" key on your keyboard.

5) Choose a language from the next list and select "Next." If you've password-protected your laptop, you will be prompted to enter your user name and password at this time.

6) Press "Dell Factory Image Restore." A new window will appear. Click "Next" and select the option for reformatting the hard drive and restoring the factory condition of the laptop.

Re set d610 to factery setting

Dell Lattitude. There are two ways to do this. You can use the System Restore function available with your Windows operating system; or, you can use the pre-installed system restore utility that comes with your Dell Lattitude laptop.

Turn on your computer, and then click on the Windows "Start" icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Click on "All Programs," and then select the "Accessories" dropdown menu. Select "System Tools," and then click on "System Restore." Wait for the System Restore welcome screen to appear. Click on "Restore my computer to an earlier time." Click on the "Next" button to continue. Click on the back arrow next to the calendar until you have reached the date you purchased or set up your computer. Select that date, and then click on the "Next" button to continue. Your computer will automatically restart. b> Using Dell System Restore Utility b> Turn on your computer, and then press "F8" as your Dell Latitude is booting up to enter the "Advanced Bootup Options" screen. Press the down arrow, and then select "Repair Your Computer." Press the "Enter" key to continue. Select "English" as the default language, and then click on the "Next" button to continue. Enter your administrative username and password, and then click "OK." Click on "Dell Factory Image Restore," and then click on the next button to continue. Click on the box next to "Yes, reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition." Click "Next" to continue. Wait for the factory restoration process to complete, and then click on the "Finish" button to complete the system restore process.

How to restore my D620 to factory settings without a CD?

Hello there!

Well its impossible to restore any of todays laptops without their factory os dvd/cd. You could setup new operative system and make your laptop simmilar to what it was on factory settings, or you can search dell to send you that same cd/dvd on your post mail to your house.

I suggest you read http://www.dell.com/ and contact them in order to solve your problem. Hope i helped you! =)

How do i restore to factory settings without disk?

I assume you mean factory installation. You need the disks. Unless there is a recovery partition, unlikely on this model. Alternatively you could find an oem windows xp home or professional depending on what coa sticker is on the laptop and install that.

Dell latitude d620 needs factory restore

Apparently your model of laptop doesn't have a recovery partition. You're going to have to get out the Dell Operating System CD for your laptop, boot to the CD and reinstall Windows the old fashioned way. Make sure the product key on the laptop case is handy.
