These no name brand sets are not supported. If you give the set to a TV service center and it needs proprietory parts they will not be able to do anything with it. Normaly, these sets are seriviced by board replacement. The service tech may not be able to find boards for it. You will end up paying for the labour and still not have your set repaird.

My suggestion is to buy a new brand name set that is supported. Take an extended warranty and you will be better off for the investment.

When I turn on the power, the orange turns white, but no sound and no video

hello dear , this problem is due to a high voltage fault from the electricity . I have read your message , before you go with your TV to the tech support just loose the TV from behind and check if all cables inside the main board are connected in there positions , second step try to loose the main board and clean it well with alcohol liquid then wait till it dries well .after that , reconnect all cables in there positions and try to turn it on , if it gives you the same fault , that means you should replace a new main board

Pluged t.v in and saw spark and shut off. will not turn back on.

Hello vitto616,
This happened to one of my tv but may not be the same for you. Seems like the tv got surged. Look to see if a power light comes on. If not try different power outlets as well. If nothing then yes probably got surged. Unfortunately you may need to contact your manufacture or any local tv repair techs. Just make sure you don't get ripped off by them and see if there is anyone that will do a diagnosis for free. I hope this helps, give me your feedback if it doesn't. Good luck.

My tv won t turn on i just purchased it today i plugged it in and it won t turn on

Check the electrical outlet which the tv is plugged into. Make sure nothing is loose at the outlet as well as on the back of the tv where the power cable plugs in. Another thing to try is plug a different device into that same electrical outlet and see if it turns on. If it doesn't turn on, it could be a faulty electrical outlet. If you've tried both the remote & the power button on the tv, a shot in the dark would be to change the batteries in the remote.
You could always try calling their tech support at 1-800-256-2487. A last resort would be to return the tv from where you purchased it.

It will no longer turn on... the standby/timer light blinks 6 times and then NOTHING... what's wrong with it??? and how can it be fixed or can it be fixed at all

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.

RED LIGHT FLASHES 10 TIMES BUT WILL NOT TURN ON!

There might really be a problem with the unit. Try unplugging it out of the power outlet and plug it back in after 30 seconds. If your using a power box (voltage regulator), try plugging it directly to the outlet. If all nothing happens, see a local tv tech in your area. The unit could be damaged.

Tv won't turn on

Try a different outlet or power strip. Try different ways to turn TV on such as power button on TV or by remote. If nothing else works and no led lights on you may need to have Service Tech look at it.

AKAI 32" LCD HDTV WILL NOT TURN ON

The only solution at this point would be to get the power supply repair since new boards are not longer being manufactured. In about 95% of the time if the LCD doesn't power up or turns OFF by itself or need to be unplug for some time to make work again; those are the symptoms of a dying or defective power supply.
I service these power supplies, for more info write to [email protected]
