This is because Microsoft doesn't offer any version of their office software for free. They will provide you with 30 day trials on some office products (word, excel, etc.) but not encarta, outlook, etc..
The benefit of the student and teacher versions is they will let you install the same copy on up to 3 pc's, vs the non student and teacher versions will only allow installation on 1 pc.
No you cannot as you have to purchase the product. Alternatively you can use Office 365 and pay monthly fee, or create a free Live.com account and use the basic (free) package on there.
You only get a 60 day TRIAL from microsoft.
Either pay for the full product (about £60)
Download a FREE office suite - Open Office
Uninstall your trial version and download a Full version with serial and activation patch.

You can try Linux, it's fun using it and it's FREE. There are advanced versions of Ubuntu and you can read Windows files with it. Linux Suse also looks like windows.
Frontpage has been discontinued. It's a bummer because I like the program myself and still use the 2002 version of it.
There are two replacements for web development.
The first on is Visual Web Developer Express Edition and is available for free at Micorosoft.com. I'm using it for an intranet site at work. It works with SQL server and even Access databases very well. It takes 3 gig to load everything up.
The next program is Microsoft Web Expression. It's $299 for full $99 for upgrade. If your licensed for Front Page, you qualify for the upgrade price.
Some of the new software doesn't work with Front Page server extensions. One system does but the other doesn't. Microsoft.com can give you the details on that.
