Have HP Pavilion tx2000
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit version
Outlook will not open without User error message that reads MicrosoftAddInsoutlvba.dll is not a valid addin.
cures for the addin on line don't include the 64 bit version of Vista Ultimate.
Word and Excel both stop working and shut down periodically.
Internet Explorer will also stop working and shut down periodically.
Had trial version of Office 2007 deleted it and installed Office 2003 Student and Teacher edition. I know, a real mess. Deleted all but Office 2003. Then tried to add Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003 Upgrade.
Bought full version of Office Pro 2007 and it will not load.
Cannot find my orignal version of Office, way back when, to get key numbers.
I do have Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition
Cannot go far enough back (May 1) when the problems started and do system restore.
going nuts, please help so I can use my computer.
You can try fixing the problem by diting your registry.
1. go to your desktop.
2. on your keyboard, hit the "windows key" (between ALT an CTRL) together with the "R"
3. a little box should pop up. In the box, type "regedit" and press enter.
4. registry editor should open up. (it looks something like windows explorer)
5. navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
SOFTWARE\
Microsoft\
Office\
Outlook\
Addins\
Microsoft.VbaAddinForOutlook.1
6. Right click on the "Microsoft.VbaAddinForOutlook.1" and delete it.
7. close registry editor,
8. restart PC and run outlook!
