Hello, the problem seem to be related to the video card you're currently using, See if you have an integrated video card: a hint to find out is to see behind your computer if the monitor connection is on a side of the back panel is probable you have an incompatible integrated video system, you can solve this problem by buying and installing a compatible video card as any Nvidia or ATI card, Call an IT professional and ask for some advice on what card you should buy and install to make these problems disappear, also ask him/her to install it for you.

Have a nice day, and If you have any other questions you can come back and reply.

PD: If you still want to buy and install it yourself ask me again and I'll help you.

Unable to install EasyLink Internet Launchpad to my computer

I posted this on Amazon earlier, where people seemed to be trying to solve similar problems:

I followed all the tips here and on other sites to no avail. This AM, I finally found the problem: I had to update the flash/activeX plugins for Internet Explorer and then it worked.

I'm a Firefox user, and things were working fine until one day, mysteriously, I started to get this "Please install Flash Player 9 and ActiveX" message when we tried to launch the Easy Link software. I had Flash Player 10 on my PC, but I followed peoples' suggestions and tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updating the browser plugins, etc. Nothing worked.

Then, thinking that ActiveX is something that helps a browser run content on a web page, I wondered if the missing ActiveX component that Easy Link was complaining about wasn't browser-specific. So I closed Firefox and Started Internet Explorer, updated the Flash Player from Adobe's website through that browser and Easy Link started working right away.

I suspect that at some point Vista did a software update (as it sometimes does) that included a new version of Internet Explorer. That version probably wasn't updated to the latest Flash plugin and started causing the problem with the Easy Link software. I didn't notice it of course because I don't use Internet Explorer. If anyone is still having the problem, I recommend opening Explorer, going to and clicking the button that says "Get Adobe Flash Player". Worked for me (finally).

Can't get Adobe Flash Player 9 ActiveX.exe to download.

Flash player 9 is actually not the latest version. If you want to install the latest version which is version 10, follow the steps below:

    a. Download the most recent Flash Player uninstaller to your desktop from the TechNote below. Please read the instructions in the TechNote before running the uninstaller.
How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control
    b. Quit ALL running applications, including all Internet Explorer windows, other browser windows, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger or other messengers. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make certain no applications which might possibly use Flash Player is still in memory.
    c. Open the following folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
    d. Run Flash Player uninstaller.
    e. Check if there are files left in the folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash. If there are any files left inside the folder, delete the files.
    f. Download and install the latest Flash player at:
Flash Player 10,0,12,36 Active X (for Internet explorer)

    Flash Player 10,0,12,36 Plug-In (for Firefox,Netscape,Safari,Chrome,etc)

the only way to improve graphics is to upgrade your graphics card and ensure that you have enough system memory and proccesor power to run the game as it should do. If you have a 32MB or 64MB card then maybe you should go for atleast 128MB

    Quick cam express

Many webcam sites rely on ActiveX and CGI scripts. In such cases the user has to download an ActiveX component before he can see your images. Moreover, in many cases firewalls will not allow webcam operation make sure your activex are enabled. you can do that by going to tools>options>internet icon>custom level>activex and enable them all alternatively it might be your pop up blocker. hope this helps

    Logitech QuickCam STX vista compatibility?

Have you updated DirectX?, I'm not sure if Vista has DX9.0 or 9.0c, but you could try and update DirectX before you install the cam software. Also if the cam is usb, did you install the software "before" connecting the cam?, some people aren't aware that usb devices have to have the software installed first, before connecting the device.
