Problem remote control

To connect an RM-230E remote control to a Lasonic DVD player, you can try the following steps:

1. Make sure that the batteries are inserted into the RM-230E remote control and that the Lasonic DVD player is turned on.
2. Press and hold the "Code Search" button on the RM-230E remote control until the indicator light turns on.
3. Press the "DVD" button on the remote control.
4. Press the "Power" button on the remote control. The indicator light on the remote control should blink once.
5. Release the "Code Search" button. The indicator light on the remote control should remain on.
6. Use the number buttons on the remote control to enter the code for the Lasonic DVD player. The code can be found in the manual or on the manufacturer's website.
7. Press the "Enter" button on the remote control. If the code is correct, the indicator light on the remote control should turn off, indicating that the remote control is now programmed to the Lasonic DVD player.
8. Test the remote control by pressing the various buttons to see if they are working correctly.

1) Remove all batteries from the remote
2) While the batteries are out of the remote, push and release every button on the remote control one at a time, until all buttons have been pressed and released at least once. This action drains the capacitors in the remote's circuits and causes the remote's brain to go back to factory defaults.
3) Re-install the batteries, taking care to insure each battery is installed correctly. Use new batteries if you are unsure about the batteries you removed.
4) If this Remote Re-Start procedure is going to work, your remote should now be back to normal. Try it.

Step 1:

Check the light on the remote
, press a number. If the light is on, go to step 4. Not light, then go to step 2.
Step 2:

Check the batteries
Make sure the batteries are full and correct in the remote control. If the batteries are full and correct in the remote control, but the remote still does not work, go to Step 3.
Step 3:

Connect the metal parts

Note:
The lower steps are only for the short remote control, see Fig. Do you have a long remote, go to step 4.

• Take the battery cover
• Connect the metal parts with a screwdriver or paper clip.Replace the batteries and check that your remote works again.

  It may be that your remote control needs to be reset for use with your TV.

  Restart the TV receiver
  

• Turn on the television receiver in standby mode by pressing the i-TV (top right).
• Leave the TV receiver 30 seconds as they are.
• Unplug the TV receiver from the mains.
• Plug after 10 seconds into the socket.
• Turn on the TV receiver by pressing the i-TV (top right).

Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.
New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.
Step 5- Try the remote.
Special Note:
If you have a digital camera, camcorder or camera phone you can test the remote to see if it is emitting a signal. Face the remote towards the lens of the digital unit until you can see the front of the remote. Depress any button on the remote. You should see a light (steady, blink or flashing) being emitted from the remote. If you do then the problem might not be the remote but the sensor on the unit.
If it works, Great!
If not, it's time to call 1-800-Remotes or use this website to order a new remote.

Here is how to unlock the HT-DS1000:

Step 1) Disconnect your player from its power source for 30 seconds
Step 2) Reconnect your player to its power source
Step 3) Press the Power On button on your remote control
Step 4) Press the Enter button on your remote control
Step 5) Press the 8 button on your remote control
Step 6) Press the 4 button on your remote control
Step 7) Press the 2 button on your remote control
Step 8) Press the 6 button on your remote control
Step 9) Press the 9 button on your remote control
Step 10) Press the Enter button on your remote control
Step 11) Your player should now place itself in Standby mode
Step 12) Press the Power On button on your remote control

Check the batteries.
If you have a digital camera, camcorder or camera phone, turn it on and point the remote at the camera lens. Press the volume buttons on the remote. You should see a flash on the camera lcd screen. If not the buttons on the remote are not working.
Check the buttons on the side/top of the tv to make sure the tv volume is working.
If the remote is dead, sometimes doing the following steps may restore it.
Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.
Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!
Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.

Phil with DISH Network here. Ideally we would want to knowwhat model remote we are having issues with, but here are some steps thatshould help.

Step 1:
Check if the issue is with a specific button. If its just one button that isnot working we need to have the remote replaced.

Step 2:
Check that the correct remote is being used for the TV in this room. Use remotekey (Green "1" or Blue "2 UHF") to confirm itis being used in the correct room. TV1 is located in the same room as your DISHreceiver.

Step 3:
If UHF, check that your UHF remote antenna is securely connected to the "RemoteAntenna" port on the back of your receiver and that the antenna isupright.

Step 4:
If issue is with the TV2 remote, bring your TV2 remote with you to TV1. Access "SystemInfo" at TV1, using the remote that is NOT functioning, pressand release the "SAT" button then press and release the RECORDbutton on remote control.

Step 5:
If the batteries in the remote have not been replaced in the past 60 days,replace the batteries. If the remote doesn't light up after replacingbatteries, have the remote replaced.

Step 6:
Unplug the receiver for 10 seconds then repeat step 4.

Step 7:
If the remote is still not working the issue may be caused by IR interference.Find interference source (back lighting or power save mode on LCD TV's,fluorescent lighting in room, or direct sunlight). Getting rid of theinterference should fix it.
