My toshiba satellite lapto keeps turning itsel off every 20 min, what can i do?

That is a indiaction that its protecting other peripherals from failure and destruction -- Toshiba notebooks do that to tell you taht the fan is not working or the ehatsink portion that helps the CPU has stopped working

what OS are you suing
what is the model and S/N of the computer ?


is your battery fully charged ? and are you using the AC adapter

How can i install xp sp2 in toshiba satellite L45 lapto


what you are to do is to put the Bootable disc into the cd drive and turn off the system later after turning it off re-ON the system and the program running setup will tell you to press any key to load from CD and you press anykey then it loads the operating system and reformatted the system and follow the instructions command and your system is back.

Toshiba satellite a130/a135 series. I connect to


check the power cord to the laptop in the back wiggle it. check the lights. if they come on and go off with you giggling the power cord. the ac input socket may be broken. you may have to wedge it in one spot to get the two lights to come on let it sit there a while 20 min to charge battery some then turn on laptop.

Toshiba Satellite L300 kept turning off


Sounds like a device driver conflick before you try to restore reboot the laptop and at startup press F8 at the menu click onsafe with networking so that if you need to download drivers yo can " Right click on my computer clik on manage look in event viewer and see when errors started to happen if the was a software update at the time of the error uninstall it and reboot the computer. if not you may have to restore the system to and earlyier date and loose data Good luck

We have a toshiba m105-s3004,when we boot it up, the toshiba logo comes on, and at the bottom of the screen it says f2 of f12, i press the f12 button then it just locks on saying please wait.


Hi,

1. turn off laptop
2. take off battery.
3. wait 5-20 mins
4. turn back the battery inside laptop.
5. turn on wait until it open.

but if still not working and same problem then i suggest you to reformat your unit....

Laptop (Toshiba Satelite A60) keeps turning off


Is it turning off by itself after being on for 20min... each time? I.e. is it consistently turning itself off after the same amount of run time? Check the bottom of the laptop... how hot is it? Might be an over-heating problem. Some freeware (MobileMeter) might help you monitor temperatures and see if it is a problem
