  • Anonymous Oct 16, 2010

Well sir, unfortunately I have a physical problem which precludes me from being able to fullfill your request. I apologize for not being able to get to the capacitor. this also means i will most likely not be able to affect a repair without calling in a service tech.

Hi!!
It sounds like the start relay, start capacitor and overload need to be replaced. If you provide the units model, I'll find the parts for you and the installation/removal instructions.

That is one of the function of this components, to cut off power to compressor in case of overheating and the other is to help compressor to start up. Don't worry, you're OK.. Give me a few to look for the parts.

This model # ctx22dkc do not give me any results. Can you look it up for me again, please?

This are the locations to look for the Model #

Let me check on another site. In the mean time, would you check if any of this capacitors is the one on your unit?

The capacitor is located on or very close to the compressor, unplug unit and check it out. Don't touch the Capacitor terminals, once you unplug the wires form capacitor, touch a metal part with the two capacitor terminals, this will discharge the capacitor. Don't worry, no sparks or noise will happen when you do that. Just a safety measure. If you want, take a picture of the capacitor before you remove it so you can reinstall it the same way, although the two wires can be connected on either terminal, it does not make any difference. If you can get the part no. from the capacitor without removing it, will be great for right now.

It is the part 729 on this diagram. The capacitor's part # WR62X51 and the price is $51.50

You can look for it at any Appliance Parts Store if you have one close by.

No problem, changing a capacitor is like plugin an electrical cord into a power outlet. If you check on the diagram, all a person needs to do is unplug the unit from wall outlet, look on the back of the fridge for the capacitor, which will be on the tip of the harness, pull it out, plug the new one in, connect power cord back into wall. If you call a tech, instead of spending $50 on the repair, it will turn into a close to $200 repair.

If you have somebody to do it for you, I will be happy to walk him through the steps.

TV making loud buzzing sound

More sets than you might imagine have this kind of problem---I a regular TV it is usually a transformer that is vibrating hard enough to make the sound---the higher pitched sound is just that--a sound.

If this is a direct view(means not a flatscreen and has a Glass Picture tube it will be either the high voltage transformer or one of several smaller transformers.

This can usually be fixed---seen a few so loud the cats in the house run away.

Let me know model number of set for more information.

On chance it has the high voltage transformer I attach a photo of what that looks like.

It sound like you may have sound processor problem which is part of the main board, I would also look at the 12vdc from power supply to make sure it is clean DC.

High pitched buzzing sound. This sound is real high pitched but not very loud. Some times it gets louder.

Sounds like the flyback # 270125 you can get a replacement at www.tvrepairworld.com which includes the CD with instructions and the two associated Capacitors.

Loud Buzz upon starting

sounds like just a vibration caused by cols hitting the frame perhaps, sometimes a pull from underneath the unit on the condenser coils will rectify the problem(id give a pretty quick tug, . unit could just be settling into the floor or the house settling around it, vibrations are definitely annoying but usually no need for alarm
