There will be some loose contact in the circuit board of your tv. May loose sodering in the vertical output stage; around the ic used. Try resolder almost all the solderings around it will solve the problem. Vertival sync; signal may not absent in the main ic too. Anyway resolder the main ic too. Surely it will solve your problem.

Picture junping

You possibly have a cracked solder joint in the vertical circuit, possible the vertical Ic itself. You'll have to remove the board and look carefully at the soldered connection of the vertical circuit and see if any are ring cracked. Some soldering should fix the problem. If you let the problem go too long the heat these cracks generate will eventaully short the vertical Ic..

42" RCA Projection TV - Sound good, but Picture goes out intermittently.

resolder the vertical output IC . bad solder there can make the CRTs blank for protection and you will lose the picture when the vertical drops out.

Vertical lines down the center only means that you have a loose connection on the Yoke. Re solder all the connection on the yoke and where the yoke connection meets the main board.75481bd.jpge307a54.jpg
