How do i get the sound to turn off on the monitor when i turn it on?

Hello Janine

Of course, if your particular monitor provide sound, (integrated) or the monitor has speakers, you can.
but if in the HUD menu, or visually you wont see any speakers, I fear not.

I am not getting anysound from the speakers

This monitor has integrated speakers so therefor needs an audio cable to plug in from your computers Audio Output Socket (usually green color) into the monitors audio input jack. It needs a stero type plug for right and left sound. Have a great day.

I purchased a new computer and after hooking everything up, everything works except I have no audio. I believe the speakers are internal to this monitor.

Double check that you have the speaker cable plugged into the proper jack (audio out - green) on the computer. Make sure that the audio hasn't been muted and that it is set for the correct output type (if you have a multi-channel audio option).

Try a standalone set of speakers to check if the audio driver for the on-board audio or sound card is working.

I hope this helps.

(I've found that the integrated speakers will fail before the monitor does. Since the integrated speakers are low-end and similar speakers are fairly cheap, get new speakers of a quality you like. Repairing the speakers isn't worth it.)

No sound

Hello

Unfortunately, this monitor does not come out with integrated speakers, thus you need to get additional speakers if you need some sound.

Hope this can be of help.

Audio problems

To use the integrated speakers on this monitor you will need the audio cable. Most monitors with built in speakers has a single cable with a green jack on both ends. It would plug into the audio jack on the back of your monitor and connect the monitor to your soundcard jack on the back of your pc. Cable should be able to be purchased at any electronics/computer store. Hope this helps.

Unable to connect speakers to desktop

The monitor has integrated speakers. This means that there should be a headphone jack at the front or side of the monitor. You can plug your (amplified!) speakers into this jack, and it will bypass your monitor speakers.

No sound through integral speakers on FS w9za monitor

Many monitors with integral speakers require a separate audio cable from the monitor to the PC, to be connected to the green "line out" port.

Some have a USB cable that does the same thing. Look closely at the back of the monitor to see if that's your problem.

And, make sure the volume is turned up on the computer and the monitor itself.

Post back if you need more help.

Good Luck,

Aopen monitor with speakers

If you're using Windows XP, you shouldn't need one as XP has drivers for most type of hardware.

Also, if the speakers are integrated in your monitor, the required software should be with the monitor driver.

Sound?

open your device manager and click on the sound icon (sometimes it resembles a music note) what ever is in the drop down list, it would say card if it doesn't show a card then you have integrated sound. nother way is to look in the back of your pc and find the speaker hook-ups, when you find them open your pc case and find the location of the speaker jacks, if there on the main board then you have integrated sound and no card.
