How to configure Aastra IP phone to register with SPA9000?

Thanks for your reply earlier this morning. I am trying to connect an Aastra 6751i (as well as a 6753i and a Siemens Gigaset) to the SPA9000. The 9000 is registered with 3 separate SIP servers right now. Your guidance earlier today was only slightly different than what I have been trying. It did not work. One observation is that when I fill the proxy server with the IP of the 9000 and 6060, I get "unregistered" as the status. When I also fill the registration server fields with the same, I get "408" as the status. I believe that "unregistered" is closer to being dohe than "408". Any insights? I know this can be done.... there just has to be an nuance that I am missing. The port was what I thought it might be B4 going to FixYa, but that is not the case. Thanks

I have it all as you indicate with a WAN approch (nothing connected to Ethernet port, just Internet). Wan address is 192.168.100.200. Password is set, as I believe the Gigaset needs this to register, which it doesn't either at this point. Last observation: I plugged analog phones into both FXS ports. When I pick them up, the FXS port light glows green, but neither has dial tone. I used the analog phone to reset to factory (again) via ****, which worked as advertised. So, net net, I've got a 9000 that registers to the outside world just fine, but won't register or provide dial tone to the inside world. Very strange. I did have this unit working OK with a Linksys phone attached some months ago. I no longer have the SPA 942 phone to test with. Any of the phones I'm using will register just fine with another PBX I have (Atcom IP02), and with hosted PBX services on the internet. Phones are OK. I have no reason to believe that the 9000 is bad, other than noticing no dial tone on the FXS ports just now.

Never mind on the no FXS dial tone. I reset to factory yet again. Now I have green lights on both FXS ports that go out when I pick up the phone and I have dial tone as well. Still no IP registrations. I even tried to register via Ethernet port on the 9000 by changing to 192.168.0.1... no dice. I'm really not interested in registering to the far side of the embedded router, but thought I'd give it a try.

OK, we are almost there. After much trial and error, I got the Gigaset to register, which requires a password. I used this same logic on the Aastra(s). They now register, but only briefly. It is a timing issue. This is what I see: when the phone restarts, it registers with the counter starting at 85 seconds. The phone says "no service" and the red light is on. The registration counter on the 9000 continues to count down. At 30 seconds remaining (55 seconds from start), the "no service" clears and the red light goes out and the phone re-registers and starts counting down from 85 again. That is where the good news ends. Now, the phone just continues to count down from 85 to 0 without ever attempting to re-register. I have observed the same behavior on two Aastra phones (6751i and 6753i). Meanwhile, the Gigaset starts its counter at 90, counts down to 35, resets and thus maintains registration. I have all the counters you indicated (and a few more) at 55, most importantly the Registration Period. Still, the behavior persists (???) Thoughts?

Setting on aastra are:
...
sip blf subscription period: 55
sip registration retry timer: 55
sip auth name: 100
sip user name: 100
sip display name: 100
sip proxy ip: 10.10.0.155
sip proxy port: 6060
sip registrar ip: 10.10.0.155
sip registrar port: 6060
sip registration period: 55
sip session timer: 55
sip rtp port: 8000

This is actually working and re-registering. On the SPA9000 SIP conf:

Reg retry Interval: 10
Reg Min Expires: 120
Invite Expires: 120
etc.

any of these parameters on the SPA-9000 can I change to make it swiftly work?

How do I hard set a Aastra 6730i

A hard reset is simply remove power and re-connect. If this fails, check the network connections by logging onto the web interface, you can find the IP address from the settings menu.
