It will definitely record and play your Grand Piano pieces without problem, although I'm sure there is a higher quality solution out there. You can always try it and see if it records at levels that are to your satisfaction, and if not then you can return it at that point. But if you want high quality, near studio level recordings, you are going to need a much better device than that one. For musicians such as yourself I recommend a high end recorder made for instruments and vocals. The most reasonable one out there would be the Zoom H4n recorder:

I definitely recommend that one, and I know pianists who use it personally, and they all love it. For example here is someone right off Amazon raving about the product:

So check out that link I provided, yes it's fairly pricey, but that is a complete package with everything you would need to record the way you want, I am sure you'd be much much happier with it.
