Question about Vtech i5808 Cordless Expansion Handset
We are having that same problem of handset dropping calls and searching for base what is the best course of action to fix this problem. the handset also no longer finds the base
Install new batteries! Be sure to let them charge fully (overnite) before first use.
I have 5 of the i5808 expansion phones around my house - most about the same age - and they all started acting up ithin a few months of each other. I "experimented" with a new battery for one, and it solved the issue for that one phone...so I replaced the batteries in each of the others that were experiencing the problems. This was about 2 to 3 months ago, and all phones have been problem-free since the new battery installs!
Hope this helps.
