It says I have a message at the top of my screen, but there is nothing in my inbox

Want to delete more than a single email message? You can easily delete multiple email messages from the iPad by using the Mail's edit feature. The button on the top right side of the inbox is the edit button. Touching this button will put your inbox into edit mode.
Once your inbox is in edit mode, you can select multiple messages by touching each message you want to delete. You then have the option to either delete them by pressing the delete button at the bottom of the screen or moving them to a specific folder by touching the move button.

click on the messaging icon in main menu and in there click on "options", in there click on "inbox view". this will change your conversation view to inbox and sent items, click on sent items and at the top of the screen it will show you the amount of messages in the folder (which will be the amount of messages you have sent) hope this helps

Try restarting the phone and then check the Inbox.

I have this same problem, unfortunatly I do not have a solution but I hope someone will, I took it back to the store and he said i needed to deleted messages from my outbox etc so it wasnt full, this solved my problem for a while but now it is reucurring every time my phone turns on and off even without any messages in my inbox. I would leave my phone on as to avoid the problem but it keep turning itself off also. Very frustrating.

first press menu, select messages, then press menu button again, scroll down to cleanup messages, select, then scroll down to which box you want to delete and select. done!

Need more information to help. What does the screen say? Is the whole web-page showing or is it HUGE and not fitting the whole screen? Do you get any errors? Does it show your account and your inbox & you click on the inbox but nothing shows up? Please give more info.

Well, first-of-all the "E" sign that u r gettin on the left corner of ur display is an indication that ur network and mobile both supports "EDGE" technology that is faster than "GPRS" when it comes to data transfer speeds.

  
Secondly, Abt ur inbox messages being deleted.It seems as if the normal message delete time limit must have been set to 1 month or so.... .That is why after the specified period those old messages got deleted.U can change the settings of ur INBOX in the MESSAGE menu itself and set it to unlimited.

Go to setting then go to web access then go tobrowser set up and clear history and clear cookies and reset cashe/let me know if this works i had the same problem.thanks shortbed

try turning your phone on and off again, hopefully, it might work! it could also be that you have unsent messages in your outbox. goodluck if not, you should probably taked it back.
