You have too many things installed on your phone. Try uninstalling some apps (hold down on them until you see the "uninstall" icon appear on your screen), or try erasing some pictures/videos you've taken. These are the things on your phone that will take up the most space. If you still get the message, you can also try navigating you your "downloads" folder and cleaning out some of the things in there. To do so, once again just long-press on the item and select "Delete."
If you still have the "low storage space" alert, you can always purchase a MicroSD card and insert it into the proper slot on your phone. This will allow you to keep all the files/apps you currently have on your phone. I would suggest getting a minimum of 32GB, as that is a fairly standard size and should keep the average person happy for a couple of years. If you take a LOT of videos/photos, or download a lot of apps/files, you might want to opt for a 64GB to further expand your available storage space.
Agree with previous answeree.
I know the problem, sort the mail every day.
then tell yourself that it is OK to delete this and that because you can always get it later. This what I tell myself when I get a message like you got.
just do it start spring cleaning your phone.
The above page shows a method to move files to an SD card without you having to install an app. That should free up space. There are apps that can assist with this process but you may be so short of space that you need to move some with the above method (before you can even install another app). Note that you can actually move applications to a SD card as well as photos or books or music. Some versions of operating systems restrict access to SD cards. If you experience a difficulty, you may want to access the help and support for your particular phone model and operating system version. Check for that on the brand site.

Hi,i think the phone message memory is full and you have to delete some old messages in order to create free space in the phone memory message which will then remove the message icon, but if this problem remains it means this problem is as a result of virus which has infected your phone,
however the best solution to your problem is to flash the entire ROM(random operating memory) of the phone to get rid of the virus which will inturn remove the message icon
"Would suggest checking SIM messages, these do not appear in inbox. 1. Messaging 2. Options 3. SIM messages. Clear out the messages. These messages are stored on your SIM card, which does not have a lot of space.
