My Savin 4022 is displaying an sc320 error. How can i clear this up

To reset this error try the code:
"Clear Mode"+107+"Clear/Stop" hold for 5s.
Turn ON and OFF the Main Switch.

The bottom left portion of the display gave the error message:
Waste Toner Bottle 1 Almost Full. Please call service.

They were still able to print, however this message would not go away.

To Fix:

Power down the printer using the normal shutdown method.

Open the top front door.

Remove the cover directly below the 4 toner cartridges.

The removable cover below the toner cartridges is actually the Waste Toner Bottle.

Bring this to the dumpster.

There is a round, clear-plastic tab on the underside of the "bottle". Remove this.

Shake the bottle around over the dumpster. Continue until all the toner has been removed.

Push the clear plastic tab back in place. Wipe off all toner residue before putting it back into the printer.

Put the waste toner bottle back into place. Power on the Savin. Confirm the message no longer appears and that users are able to print.

sc320 on the Lanier 5635 is a laser unit error code. Often if you power cycle the machine (turn it off with the orange power switch on the left side of the copier, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on) the code will clear and the copier will resume normal operation. If the error code comes back or doesn't clear, you'll probably need to replace either the entire laser assembly or the polygon mirror motor inside the laser unit. These are best done by a professional -- contact your local Lanier service company if the problem persists.

Hello sir; You do need to reset this error code, procedure as follow;
press 71,hold down "clear/stop"key, until you see the "." in the upper left cornor of the display, then release, after that you press "clear/stop" key again then press lighter key, the 5 will now flash on the display, now enter 97 press start, turn machine off and back on , machine should be running.

The E5 code is the fuser malfunction error.
E52 fusing lamp warm up error.Possible causes thermistor open,heater lamp open,thermofuse open.
E53 fusing lamp overheat.Thermistor in shortcircuit
E55 fusing thermistor open
When service call E5 conditions occur they cannot be cleared by turning OFF/ON the power switch.To reset turn ON the main switch,turn DIP switch 101-1 ON and OFF(the DIP switch is located in rear part under main supply board).,and turn the main switch OFF and ON.

You did not state the Make/Model but this is a Ricoh/Savin/Lanier/Gestetner failure code so I will go with that.
SC320 is a laser mirror motor failure, also referred to as the laser scanner. Most likely this code will not reset, but I would at least try powering the machine off then on to check. If not, I am sorry to say this will require a trained service technician to replace. Parts and Labor approximate cost should be around $360 depending on model.

This is a scanner problem (the part with the lamp) is it crooked as viewed from the orig. glass? No need to reset this code when the movement problem is fixed turning power on and off will reset. -Carl

That is a "Laser motor" Error - Laser motor is dead, and needs replacement.
