How to operate 132Q

I got this refurbished Singer sewing machine model 132Q when someone just left it in my apartment building with the note that it was free, like new but needed to assemble. The manual it comes with, doesn't say anything how to assemble and all it's parts are scattered. It has a battery at bottom and some wires which I don't know how to attach. I am not sure if requires AC adapter.. So my basic question is how do I assemble it? Does it operate with battery? Do I need anything to plug it in?

Please help me!!!!!!

SOURCE: Bobbin does not fill completely

Machines that stop the bobbin winder automatically when the bobbin is full have a mechanism that detects how much thread is accumulating in the bobbin while it is winding, then stops the winder when the bobbin is full. It is likely that the bobbin winding mechanism needs to be adjusted by a mechanic.
On the other hand, if the thread winds evenly, and stops winding when the bobbin is about 3/4's full each time, you probably don't need to worry about it if all else is good (even tension, consistent stitch quality, and so on).
If you'd like me to post some general troubleshooting tips, let me know.
Good luck

I wanted to turn my daughters old jeans into shorts since they still fit, but were too short. I was having the same problem, but I was able to make some progress. I switched the thread from a poly/cotton blend to 100% polyester and it was a big improvement. I still was unable to stitch through seams. I am going to try a more heavy duty polyester thread and an upholstery needle (18/110).

I cleaned the feed dogs and shuttle area on my Singer 132Q this morning and replaced all pieces according to my manual. I started sewing and the needle ran into a stick pin in the garment. It broke th

The easiest thing is to take it for service. It's very likely that even if you were able to free up the machine that it has been knocked out of time. Very important to avoid sewing over pins.

What year was the Singer 132Q Featherweight made?

I don't know, but it has been one of the worst models I've ever used. Lots of plastic instead of metal, and cheap, cheap, cheap!
