SOURCE: Oven shuts off by itself
When your oven reaches the desired temp. it shuts down then turns back on again after it cools down a couple of degrees and cycles like this during the complete baking cycle. If your ignitor or oven valve is getting weak it would cause this symptom.

Probably not. It sounds like your broil element burned out. This just happens sometimes. If it is this , it will have visible chunks missing. Yes, It shorted with enough force to blow the main fuse. Unplug it as sometimes it can still be live and sparking when power is restored. Element is fairly cheap usually less than $50 and you can fix it yourself.

In my experience, it is normal to leave the the door open when grilling, otherwise it is liable to cause the bakelite handle of the grilling pan to get very hot, and possibly melt or catch fire, and make it to hot to hold the handle.

if the grill is constant sparking when the oven was on and turns off when the oven is not in use then u either have a defective pcb/ht lead or electrode if it is self lighting or if you have to push in a button then this button or control will have a problem
SOURCE: Have had 4 Neff oven elements in 2 years.
If you are not fitting genuine
elements, this is probably the reason they are failing so quickly.
You will pay a lot more for the genuine article, but they will last a lot longer.
Also make sure the fan is working o/k, as this can cause premature element failure.
