SOURCE: our 5.8gh uniden phones all have static one land phone 3 extension.

your phone is picking up frequency of something around house or outside close to power lines also known as interference
move phone to different location in house see if the static disapates
also it can be in the houses wireing and not just the phone service provider will have to come out and check your phone lines for you
also a failing battery can cause static in the phone goto closes radio shack and pick up new battery and see if this clears up your problem

SOURCE: uniden 5.8Ghz phone.

You need to reset the main base unit. Unplug the power from the back of the base. While the power is disconnected, press and hold the delete key while reconnecting the power. Wait for a long beep tone. When the display shows 88 or P, press play button one time. If you have a phone without an answering machine, disconnect the power from the back of the base, press and hold find hs button while reconnecting power.

SOURCE: Static on my pair of Uniden cordless phones (Model DECT1560)

Is your base near a computer or other electronics? Also, make sure your microwave is not on. I get static if I do any of those things.

What does New CID:30 mean on my Uniden DECT 6.0 phone?

you probably need to delete some of you calls and you may need to uplug all you phone jacks from the outlet and wait 3-5 min and plug them back up that seems to fix a lot of problems with cordless phones

We have a lot of static and loud buzzing on the phone

I had the same issue that started on some 3 year old 5.8 GHZ Uniden cordless phones. I moved it from room to room and same buzzing. I found a older Uniden set I had kept in a desk drawer. I swapped out the power transformer (power cord) and it is clear as a bell now.

GE Dect 6.0 Cordless - Loud Static

question is are you running a pc and router/ modem on the same land line
if so you will need the line filters to the phone base
the computer data is transferred by the same land line and there is every possibility that the different frequencies is what is causing the static
reference from a uniden trouble shooter ( will be common as the phones use the same medium)
lots of noise or static on the line === possible solutions --check for interference from appliances ( microwave , tv etc ) or wireless devices ( baby monitors wifi equipment etc)
move the handset base away from the source
if you have any device that uses the phone line , add a DSL or telephone line filter to the system

it is possible from the times you state that the interference could be coming form a neighbour or further down the line so the filter may be the option
available from phone shops or places like JAYCAR
