The tv tells you there is a technical problem with it. lots of time this has something to do with the power supply of the tv. contact a technician to have it fixed.

My Baird JO47 tv is stuck on standby and won't come off. ... I have a panasonic 50" TV it will not turn on no green light or standby red light ... Forum; my tv standby light keeps flashing blue on and off and won't switch on Forum ...
How many times do this standby light flashes at one time switch ON? Count it. These flashes are fault indications. I just pull out the mains plug for a few seconds then put it back in. The red light keeps flasing for a while (be patient) then stays solid red. When I then switch on again with the remote it is fine. I often have to do this.
