Printer Having a problem installing my d1320 to my new computer hp pavillion a6403wb desktop...can this be done my printer isnt very old less then a year.......help

disconnect all the cabled from the printer and leaving behind only the power cable.
Then try turning on the Printer. If it still doesn't turn ON then it means that its a hardware fault. Please consult HP for it. But if in case it does turn ON (the chances of which is very less) then it could be a software issue with the computer. Let me know what happened.

Try removing the printer driver that you have installed and download the driver from this URL.

When installing the printer make sure you don't plug it into your laptop until the installation software asks for it.

It's the RTC battery 100% sure. Just change it.

Normal 0 Normal 0 Normal 0 Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

If this is a usb external drive then it will be shown as a removable drive in My Computer. Just right click on the icon>Explore and you should be able to view the files on that drive. If you do not see a removable drive then please post back and I will help you determine the problem. Steve Medley

You may need to look adding more RAM to your PC, or change the printer properties.

Most companies don't offer driver support for XP anymore, it's 2017, time to upgrade to atleast Windows 7 now.
