I would recommend you to back all your work up, then with the use of the restore cds, re-build your laptop. Then see if you get the same problem. If you do, then you need to send the laptop back

I cannot install ethernet driver of hp compaq d530. Where can i find it?

Hello: I hope the following information is helpful.
If you are trying to install the driver for the Broadcom ethernet NIC that was pre-installed (NOT an ethernet card that you purchased and installed yourself), there is a softpack (updated driver installation) download available from HP/Compaq. It will install the driver automatically for you, just download it from the link below and run the ".exe" file.
IMPORTANT: Check to be sure that your current Operating System, and model of the network device you are trying to install, are BOTH listed below BEFORE you download!
This is a software / driver update for the HP Compaq d530 ultra-slim desktop: All Models
Supported network devices:
BCM5906M Broadcom 10/100/1000 5782 based NIC Broadcom 570x 10/100 Integrated controller Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet 5782 Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet PCI-Express NetXtreme(tm) 10/100/1000 Gb NIC
Supported Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 2000 Microsoft Windows 98 Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Microsoft Windows Vista Business 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Business 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Starter 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Edition Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Microsoft Windows XP Professional Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 EditionINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "Obtain Software" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved). 2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.LINK where file can be downloaded:HP/Compaq Support-Broadcom Driver download
Again, I hope this information is what you neededto install your network device. Should this not answer your question, please come back, provide more details of your problem, and we will be happy to help!Best of luck to you!

I just installed a D-Link DIR-655. My desktop is running just fine but my laptop won't connect wirelessly. Well it says I'm connected to the network but when I click on Internet Explorer it says, " Can not...

I think what we're dealing with then is a Windows Firewall problem, for whatever reason its blocking Internet Explorer and Safari from the net. The globe is proof that even Vista can see internet on your connection. We need to allow those programs through your firewall.

Internet explorer and Safari are the ones we are looking for. Let me know if this helps. Unfortunately my vista machine is at home or else I could give you more precise instructions.

Internet explorer stops working

Microsoft has suggested people uninstall SP1 for Vista for the time being until they resolve some problems.

You should find this as an uninstallable program in Control Panel Add Remove, scroll down until you see the entry.

If you don't contact me with the comment box below and we'll try the alternative method.

Thanks for responding to my questions. You can't imagine how many people just don't and give up before we've had a chance to work with you to solve and fix your problem.
