HP Compaq Presario V6000T 15.4" Notebook PC Laptop Questions & Answers
What to go in to find the airplane mode
Try FN + a button that looks like signal lines, the WiFi button basically, it should turn off aeroplane mode, I assume you're using Windows 8. You can also turn it off by pressing Windows Key + C at the same time to bring up the charms menu (the menu that appears on the right) press settings, click on the wireless section, turn off aeroplane mode at the top.

In regards to the battery not holding a charge most likely the battery is out of life. Normally notebook batteries will last 2-3 years with normal use but if the notebook was used alot then the average is 1.5 to 2 years. Note I have to replace my batteries about every 2 years.
I also found this if you go to the below link and look under Utility -Tools there is a battery test program.

As for your computer running slow you most likely need to reinstall Windows on your computer. If you did not get any of the disks with the computer you might check to see if the restore partition is still there normally if you open my computer it will be a 10gb partition. If it is there then you should be able to do a restore on the system to take it back to factory settings. Note normally the recovery mode can be accessed by pressing F12 when you first boot the computer.
If you need to order replacement restore disk you can do that from the link above and selecting the Recovery Media section.
Let me know if you have any more problems or questions

Is the microphone available on compaq presario
Any "modern" laptop will either have a built-in microphone,
or it will have a small "microphone-in" socket where any separately-purchased microphone can be connected. Look for a small hole with a PINK ring around the hole.

Sorry to hear about your V6000 problems.
If this problem has just started and all was OK before this happened.!
1. Remove all media from drives.
2. Remove battery and A/C power input.
3. Flip unit over and remove the memory.
4. Disconnect the CMOS battery.
5. Remove the Hard Drive.
6. Flip unit over and Press the Start Button for 30 seconds.
7. Flip unit over again and re-install the Hard Drive, Memory and last, the CMOS battery.
Note ...
8. Reconnect the unit to the A/C input supply voltage.
Leave the battery out for NOW !.
Flip unit and try to start with the Touch Pad Led's. This should bring up Quick Play.
If your unit starts and you here several beeps,
Don’t worry, !! You should be able to access the BIOS screen. You can reset your date and time.
If you are still not able to start unit, drop me a email and I will try some other ideas.
Hope this works for you. !!
Try it, It may work !!

Disappearing DVD driver
Use device manager to remove the dvd/cd unit, and then reboot the computer. Vista will locate the unit and install the driver.
It is possible that the dvd/cd unit has failed and requires repair or replacement
